New Family Registration Checklist
Thank you for registering for the upcoming school year. It is my pleasure to officially welcome you to the Dunlap School District! Currently HGES has room at all grade levels, but we have limited space in Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. Any NEW FAMILIES moving into the Hickory Grove attendance area will be temporarily assigned to another building within the Dunlap District when/if we run out of space in these grade levels. Busing would be provided. Impacted families will be notified of final school placement in early August. Parents will have the option to return to HGES as soon as a space becomes available.
New families and kindergarten students are required to submit the following documents as soon as possible and at the latest prior to the first day of school:
- Registration/Technology fee of $140 payable to Dunlap School District
- State of Illinois Physical Exam with Immunization Record dated on or after 8/14/2023
- State of Illinois Vision Exam dated on or after 08/14/2023
- State of Illinois Dental Exam dated on or after 11/15/2023
Important Dates
- Class Lists/Bus Information Posted in PowerSchool - Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 4:00 p.m.
- Kindergarten Open House (Students & Parents) - Monday, Aug. 12 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
- 1st-5th Grade Open House (Students & Parents) - Monday, Aug. 12 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
- First Day of School for Students - Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 7:39 a.m.-2:15 p.m.
Additional information about the start of the school year will be sent out at the end of July.
